CHAPTER 8
There was something heavy laying over Kusano’s stomach that morning. Too heavy to be the blanket and too heavy to be the family dog. The bookshelf could not have fallen down either. Opening his eyes slowly, rubbing them roughly, he shock back. An arm?! Wth! Eyes wandering up up up the arm, he found Yamashita. Laying there, sleeping, in HIS bed, under HIS blanket and on HIS shoulder for that matter. Kusano looked down at the floor. Yamashita had not even touched the mattress on the floor or his own blanket.

Laying back down he clearly had made enough sound to wake the second boy in the bed up.

”Morning…” Yamashita said in a groggy voice.

“Right…” Kusano took Yamashita’s arm of him as if it was dirt, and got out of bed. To Kusano’s relief he was still wearing his pyjamas.

“What’s with the rush?” Yamashita yawned, looking up at Kusano with the cutest bed hair ever.

“Why didn’t you sleep down here Y—“

“Tomohisa remember?” Yamashita interrupted.

“Huh?”

“We agreed that you could call me Tomohisa, Tomo-chan… whatever, and not Yamashita” he sent Kusano a smile.

“…” what the heck had they done last night anyway? “Yama-chan, is that fine?”

“Haaaaaaaaaaaaai” Yamashita said in a squeeing way and smiled wider then ever.

As the room fell in silence, the sun shined stronger and brighter through the window in Kusano’s room. The sky was blue covered in very few clouds, compared to the dark clouds last night. The breeze that made its way through the gap in the window was light and warm. The weather had been so weird lately… just as Kusano’s mood and feelings.

“Hiro-chaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan!” a loud girl voice could be heard from outside the door. “We’re going to grandma and grandpa in 15 minutes!”

That turned Yamashita’s pout on immediately. Pouting even more when he got up and got dressed, Yamashita just made irritated-pissy sounds.

“I…” Kusano started “I guess we could get together some other time?”

“We better!” Yamashita snapped. He was not much of a morning person. Yamashita liked to take the mornings slow and relaxing. No stress. Rushing of like this was just… painful.

“I am home” Yamashita said as he entered the kitchen where his mum was cooking.

“Already? It’s not even noon sweety”

“Kusano had to go to his grandparents” he told his mother and buried his face in between his knees.

“Oh…” his mother said in a usual mother-tune and stroke her sons back. “You’ll get to hang out with him soon enough darling”

“Un~” Yamashita did not look up, he did not want to. “I’ll go to my room…”

“I’ll bring you some food in a while” Mrs. Yamashita said and kissed her boys cheek.

Closing the door to his bedroom, he lent to the door, closing his eyes. Barely opening them he scanned his room. It was just the same. Tons and tons of stalking pictures of Kusano laying upon his desk and inside his notebook ‘Kusano’, ‘Hironori’, ‘Hiro-chan’ and ‘Kusano Hironori’ was scrabbled everywhere. On every single free space. His nightstand was filled with framed Kusano pictures. Upon the chair beside his bed one of the many jumpers Kusano forgot at school was laying. It was yellow, with the text ‘Kusa’ on it. Yamashita had seen Kusano paint the ‘Kusa’ on the jumper. Kusano had been with his pal Kato, clearly Kusano did not want it to be all yellow.

“I love you so” Yamashita mumbled to himself and slide down the door.

Mind drifting into some kind off flash back movie from the night before, Yamashita stared into the wall, not moving. Kusano laughing. Kusano smiling. Kusano being disgustingly cute while eating candy. Kusano spilling soda. Kusano having a question sing written all over his face. Kusano’s lips. The warmth. The soft touch. Eyes shot. Tongues dancing.

“Tomohisa sweety” his mother woke him up from his flash back movie daydream. “Move away from the door so I can come in with your food ne~”

Heaving a sigh, Yamashita did as his mother had asked him to; he got up and let her in.

“You look pale again” she placed a hand on Yamashita’s fore head. “Get some rest”

“Un~” was Yamashita’s reply. He did not have anything better to do anyway. Bringing the food with him to the bed, he turned the TV on and laid down under the fluffy blanket. If only Kusano could have been there with him now…

Receiving a sms from Shige, Kusano headed over to his best friend. In the message Shige had said it was really important, so Kusano did not have a choice but to go now did he?

Ringing the bell TWICE wth that was not like Shige at all, Kusano usually had to push the button once, he found Shige, smiling like hell.

“What are you so happy about?” Kusano grinned and kicked his shoes of.

“Who is it?” a male voice asked.

“Just Kusano~” Shige replied and helped Kusano hanging up his big hip-hop jacket.

“And who is that?” Kusano asked his friend.

“KeiKei!”

“KeiKei as in Koyama?”

“Yupp” Shige’s smile got wider. Normally Shige’s smile would fade when Koyama was around or mentioned; now it was wider then ever… weird.

Following Shige into the living room (clearly there were no parents around because the stereo was on full volume!) Kusano saw Koyama Keiichiro sitting in the white stylish sofa.

“Hey there~” he greeted.

“Same to you I guess” grabbing Shige by the arm he pulled him down so he could reach his ear and whisper his question. “Why the heck is he here?!”

“I am gonna tell you, just be patient” Shige said happily and sat down UPON Koyama’s lap.

“Errr…” Kusano went, sitting down in his usual chair.

“KeiKei and I” Shige blushed a little “are boyfriends”

Kusano did not have anything better to say so he just let it out, “WHAT?!”

“As in together” Koyama said to make it a bit easier for the youngest boy in the room.

“I know what it means… But Shige” Kusano looked at Shige “You don’t even like Koyama!”

“Call me Kei”

“Yeah, Kei then! You don’t like him!”

“What does it matter?” Shige cocked a brow at his best friend “I like him now, and that’s all that matters isn’t it KeiKei?”

“Indeed it is~” Koyama smiled and to Kusano’s disgust, planted a soft kiss on Shige’s lips.

“Don’t do that in front of me please” Kusano whimpered, hiding his face behind the pink pillow that usually was placed behind his back.

Shige frowned a bit at that, but agreed that it was for the best. Neither he or Kusano wanted to be un-friends because of (in this incident) a guy.

The rest of the night they spent talking about everything between earth and heaven (and a little about what was below them). Out of nowhere Koyama had broken of their current conversation and stared right at Kusano, asking;

“Are the rumours true?”

Both Kusano and Shige sent Koyama a what-rumour look.

“You and Yamashita~” Koyama told the very confused brown haired boy in the chair.

“… and that rumour is?”

“That you guys were dating and then broke up… well, it’s at least what it looks like to us people who doesn’t know. You and Yamashita have been accidentally bumping into each other and you both were not well the last week and bla bla bla”

Just what the heck? How did that rumour spread? … Kusano bite the inside of his cheek “It’s just a bloody rumour”

“Awwwww, and I hoped it was true” Kei fake pouted “It would have been so cute na Shige-chan?”

Shige, who compared to Koyama knew how much Kusano disliked Yamashita, did not say his opinion about this matter.

After several silent minutes Kusano got up from his chair yawning, “I better get home, it’s getting pretty late”

Shige took a glance at the watch “Matter of fact it is, let m—“

“By all means, just cuddle on, I know the way out myself” Kusano said and waved at Shige as a ‘bye’.

“Oh… okay… bye then” Shige said and sent Kusano a waved back.

Putting his shoes and jacket back on Kusano opened the door and shouted yet another ‘bye’ back at the two lovers in the living door before he left the house. The night air was cold, very cold compared to the light breeze that was there the very morning. Shivering a little Kusano increased his speed to get quicker home.

Pulling his house key out of his pocket Kusano dropped it when he saw a male figure standing beside the entrance door.

“Yamas—chan?”

“Hey…” Yamashita said, it looked like he had been standing there for hours because his face was all white and his lips were blue.

“What are you standing there for?” Kusano wondered.

“I waited for you to come home…”

“…” and what was he supposed to say now? ‘Aw that was really sweet of you’? He’d rather do it the Kusano way. “Why?”

For the second time in Kusano’s life he had wished he had not asked. Yamashita had walked up to Kusano, grabbed him by the shoulders and kissed him on the lips.

Sure, Yamashita’s lips were death cold, but it was not that that made a shiver go down Kusano’s spine. It was the fact that he kissed him. Again.

Leaving Kusano’s lips slowly Yamashita put on a cute smile “I missed you…”

I AM NOT EXPERIENCED IN THIS KIND OF SITUATIONS! Kusano wanted to scream, but he kept his mouth closed. He did not want to hurt Yamashita again, the last time he had hurt him, Kusano’s conscience had been way at the bottom. He did not like hurting people, because their pain kept stinging in his chest, and so did Yamashita’s pain.

“You’re so cute when you go all silent” Yamashita said half-giggling.

“Oh really?” Kusano cocked a brow at him. Suddenly the entire situation was easy to go through.

“Yeah… your cheeks drops down a centimetre when you don’t have anything to say”

That sure did make Kusano laugh, “You study me?” he was joking.

“Every single part of you” Yamashita on the other hand, was serious.

“Heh…” Kusano looked down at the ground and straight at his keys. “Wanna come in?”

“Whatcha think?”
